About DJ DoItAll, Barry Gaines, discovered the concept of scratching at the age of 6. He did not know that it would later turn into a popular DJ technique in the hip-hop world. DoItAll grew up in Wildwood scratching a record needle from left to right across the surface of his older brothers favorite Parliament and Funkadelic records. After ruining much of his brothers vinyl his mother bought him his own records and allowed him to use other record players in their home. He grew up in Wildwood until the eighth grade when he then moved to northern New Jersey. It is there where he soaked up the hip-hop music played by Mr. Magic and Marley Marl on New Yorks WBLS-FM 107.5. This was the start of his life long passion, which in return has helped him become one of the areas top radio personalities.

DoItAll returned to southern New Jersey to major in communications at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. He started interning for the Shure Rock Holmes show at WLFR before acquiring his own weekly show, The Flow Session. This is where his radio career started. He also began spinning music at parties and entertained at area clubs and casinos. While working on the radio and spinning at clubs DoItAll worked at his brothers clothing store, New Gear, in Pleasantville. This was a spot for him to promote his custom mixes.

DoItAll started renting out venues and throwing parties. He bought advertisement on WZBZ-FM 99.3 to notify the public of the open parties. This was another avenue in which he could get his music out there. This collaboration with the radio station opened another door for DoItAll. He spoke to the station management and they agreed to air 30-minute mixes of music he created on weekends without pay. DoItAll then began buying airtime on the station for two months to do a show titled Street Heat. Through all of this interaction, DoItAll developed a relationship with station management and the Buzzs program director offered him a job with the radio station.

DoItAll has had the opportunity to travel the country and share his passion. DoItAll is a DJ to the stars. He has been a seven-time guest DJ on BETs Rap City. He has also opened up for some of the top entertainers such as; Jay Z, Mary J. Blige, R. Kelly, Dave Chapelle, and many more. DoItAll has spun at many private after parties such as; Bernard Hopkins fight, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, and more.

DoItAll does more than spinning! He is also a promoter. He has promoted concerts for some of hip-hops most talented rappers such as Busta Rhymes, Jay Z, Peedi Crakk, and more. He has promoted official after parties for concerts such as Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keyes, Fabolous R. Kelly, Steve Harvey, and various other events. DoItAll has also self produced promotional CDs throughout the country. He has worked with Grammy nominated producers such as Rodney Darkchild Jerkins and Roy Hamilton. He produced tracks and remixes for artists such as Cassidy, Merlino, KCi and Jo Jo, and more.

DoItAll has proven that if you really want something you can do it. He appreciates his past because it is what introduced him into his passion. He anticipates his future to see what endeavors are out there for him to accomplish. He is excited for the new challenges that he will face. DoItAll is a true example that if you follow your dreams they can come true.
